Zoology 2 (Animal Care) Class Information
Zoology 2 (Animal Care and Conservation) is a stand-alone course that can be taken without Zoology 1 necessarily, but it is encouraged that students are familiar with foundational knowledge of classification and evolutionary theories taught during Biology class/ Zoology 1 class.
Students will explore the history and domestication of animals, safety precautions when handling/ owning small animals as pets, overview of pet ownership and responsibilities, life history and husbandry of the animal groups listed below.

Small Animals as Pets Introduction (ethics)
Dogs
Cats
Rabbits
Hamsters/ Gerbils
Other- Guinea Pigs, Sugar Gliders, or Hedgehogs
Quarter B:
Fish
Reptiles
Birds
Careers in Animal Care/ Exploring Zoo and Aquarium Conservation
