THE OHIO TOWNSHIP ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP
The Ohio Township Association Scholarship is offering two types of scholarships. One Academic Achievement Scholarship will be awarded and two Local Government Achievement Scholarships will be awarded. To be eligible for an Academic Achievement Scholarship you must have at least a B cumulative average and attain a 22 ACT or 1000 SAT score. To be eligible for the Local Government Achievement Scholarship, you must be able to demonstrate outstanding citizenship through service and participation in community activities. Completed applications must be received by January 30, 2015. Applications are available in the guidance office.

RAISE.ME SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
A new start-up fund sponsored in part by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is offering scholarship funds to high school students who complete specific tasks that aim to help them develop as individuals and become more attractive college applicants. Students can sign up for the program starting as early as their freshman year and as late as the first semester of their senior year. Some examples of tasks that students can complete to earn scholarship money include:
Taking an honors course (colleges pay $50 to $1,000 per class)
Getting an A ($85 to $1,000 per class)
Perfect attendance for a year ($50 to $200 per year)
Volunteering in your community ($7 to $75 an hour)
Taking an Advanced Placement or International Baccalaureate course ($50 to $1,250 per course)
Participating in a sport ($25 to $250 a year)
Taking on a leadership role in an extracurricular activity ($50 to $1,000 a year)

More than 100 colleges and universities including the University of Dayton, Denison University, and Tulane University have joined or are in the process of joining Raise.me Each college offers a different scholarship amount for various activities. Scholarship funds raised for one college cannot be transferred for use at other schools.

The founders of Raise.me are especially interested in helping students from low-income families save money for college, but the program is available to any high school student who wants to earn scholarship money. Visit www.raise.me for more information.
BURGER KING SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The Burger King Scholarship Program is accepting applications from October 15th to December 15th. Applications are open to all high school seniors with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. Go to www.bkmclamorefoundation.org/WhatWeDo/ScholarsProgram to apply.

GE-REAGAN FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

This National Program awards college scholarships to high school seniors who embody the characteristics of President Ronald Reagan at school, in the community, in the workplace, and at home. Recipients receive $10,000 renewable scholarships - up to $40,000 per student. Apply online through www.reaganfoundation.org/scholarships or http://facebook.com/GEReaganScholarships. ROBERT A. CUNNINGHAM MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
General Electric Credit Union is proud to offer the 18th annual Robert A. Cunningham Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship honors the memory of Robert A. Cunningham , a Chairman and Director on the GECU Board of Directors for 30 years. This year they will be awarding five students with a one-time scholarship of $2,000. To be considered for the scholarship, each applicant must meet the following criteria:

Be a college-bound, graduating high school senior
Be a primary member of GECU*
Have participated in activities that demonstrate a steadfast and long-serving spirit of volunteerism
Have a strong academic record with at least a "B" average

A primary member is defined as any student who has his/her own account with minimum initial deposit of $5.00

Completed applications are due by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, January 5, 2015.

THE OHIO ASSOCIATION OF CAREER COLLEGES AND SCHOOLS LEGISLATIVE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The 2015 Ohio Association of Career Colleges and Schools Legislative Scholarship Program for Ohio graduating seniors will make over 220 scholarships available ranging from $2000 to $44000. The scholarships are for attending Ohio Colleges such as the Art Institute of Ohio, Antonelli College, Brown Mackie College and Fortis College in this area of Ohio and numerous other schools in other parts of Ohio. Some of the scholarships are for specific programs like Culinary, Photography, Graphic Design, Accounting, Medical Assistant , Veterinary Technology, Interior Design and others too numerous to mention. Applications are available in the guidance office. Please see me to obtain an application so that I can go over the guidelines. Students with a "C" average qualify for this scholarship and you do not have to prove financial need. Application deadline is April 10, 2015.

AXA Achievement Scholarship program
State level
Fifty-two winners – one from each state, Washington, DC and Puerto Rico – are selected by our nonprofit partner, Scholarship America, to receive one-time scholarship awards of $10,000 each.
National level
From the pool of 52 state winners, ten are selected as national winners and earn an additional one-time scholarship of $15,000, bringing the national AXA Achievers’ total scholarship awards to $25,000 each.
What does it take to become an AXA Achiever?
Our scholarship winners are known as AXA Achievers. They are ethnically and economically diverse, but they share these qualities:

Ambition and drive
Determination to set and reach goals
Respect for self, family and community
Ability to succeed in college
How to apply
Using a tiered process students apply on a state level and the top students from that group are recognized on a national level with an additional award.

Who is eligible?
Applicants to the AXA Achievement Scholarship in association with U S News & World Report must:

Be United States citizens or legal residents living or claiming residency in one of the 50 United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico
Be current high school seniors who plan to enroll full-time in an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in the United States for the entire 2015-2016 academic year.
Demonstrate ambition and self-drive as evidenced by outstanding achievement in school, community or work-related activities
Special consideration will be given to achievements that empower society to mitigate risk through education and/or action in areas such as financial, environmental, health and/or emergency-preparedness
Eligible students are encouraged to apply for both the Achievement and Community scholarships, but a student may receive only one of these AXA-sponsored scholarships.

The application deadline is December 15, 2014. Only the first 10,000 applications will be accepted; we encourage you to apply early.
2015 winners will be announced in Spring 2015.
