Hello, my name is Sherri Deatherage, I am a mother of three and a wife of 30 years. I am currently in my twelfth year working for Goshen Local Schools. The High School has been my home for the last eleven, in the mornings you will find me in the library, I really enjoy working with the students as they come to the library. I occasionally oversee students taking online courses in health. The library is not just books anymore, we have laptop computers, available for students to check out while in the library, paper books of course, and a warm spacious area for student to study or just relax and read. We hope to encourage creativity with projects from time to time last year we instructed several students on the basics of sewing. I love to cook and enjoy helping others learn to as well. I am always looking for ways to create some sort of cooking class for interested students. We have made a lot of changes, stop by and see us. The afternoon part of my day is spent in the guidance office where I pretty much do whatever is needed from filing, scanning, taking phone calls, sending transcripts, advising students with my motherly experience, and many others tasks as well. My favorite thing about working for the high school is watching them grow from freshman to seniors, from kids to adults (at least most of them), and helping them as they make plans for their future.
