Goshen High School Assessment

In the standards-based instructional program implemented by Goshen Local School District, it is critical that both instruction and assessment be aligned to the set of well-defined State of Ohio/Common Core standards assessed on the Ohio Graduation Tests, and the newly developed PARCC and ODE Assessments. In grades 9 -12, a fully aligned and integrated curriculum is implemented that includes a set of high-priority instructional targets to ensure that students receive complete instruction in all benchmarks in addition to exposure to the Common Core Standards. The purpose of the curriculum is to provide a firm foundation of the currently assessed learning targets including new ninth grade assessments (PARCC and ODE) for 2014-15. The state assessments satisfy the accepted technical requirements such as validity, reliability, absence of bias, and instructional sensitivity.
