An experienced student cafeteria leader will take the helm of the Goshen Local Schools food services department effective March 1.
The Goshen Board of Education approved a two-year contract for Brooke Huhn to become Food Service Supervisor at their Feb. 13 board meeting.
Huhn has worked in the food services industry for more than 18 years, including eight years at Milford Exempted Village Schools, three years at The Children’s Home of Cincinnati and one year at Sycamore Community Schools. She most recently served as field supervisor in the student nutrition department at Mason City Schools, where she was responsible for training staff on a new point-of-sale system, monitoring kitchen production and compliance, and assisting in hiring staff.
Huhn has also led food service operations outside of schools, working as food service director at Carmel Manor in Fort Thomas, Ky. She is a resident of Amelia.
“We are excited to have someone of Brooke’s qualifications leading our food service operation,” said Superintendent Darrell Edwards. “We look forward to her working with our current outstanding staff who truly care about our students.”
